The history of the journal "Herald of the Daghestan Scientific Center" starts from 1996, when it was founded by the decision of the Presidium of the Daghestan Scientific Center, Russian Academy of Sciences. Since 1998, the journal is published quarterly (4 issues per year).
Initially the "Herald" was conceived as a multidisciplinary edition designed to highlight the scientific research of the Dagestan researchers in a wide range. Later, the magazine has attracted the attention of scientists from other regions of Russia and from abroad.
"Herald of the Daghestan Scientific Center" was registered by the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications and Mass Media as media (Registration number ПИ № ФС77-77770 from February 10, 2020), and the international standard identifier serials ISSN 1684-792X was assigned for the journal.
