TO THE ESSESSMENT OF THE CHECHEN PEOPLE’S STRUGGLE AGAINST FASCISM DURING THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR OF 1941–1945

This article analyzes the contribution of the Chechen-Ingush Republic to Soviet people‘s victory in World War II. With the help of a wide-range sources and publications, the author reveals the heroic activity of Chechen fighters and home front workers. He exposes the allegation of blaming Chechens and Ingushes in massive supporting the Nazis which is in the certificates of NKVD senior officials, and in writings and publications of some researchers, consciously or unconsciously distorting reality on the assessing of active participation of the Chechen people in the struggle against the fascist danger.
