STEM-COMPOSITION IN THE AVAR AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES

The article deals with the problem of stem-composition in the Avar language. Compound words constitute a large portion of the vocabulary of the Avar language. They can be found among all significant parts of speech, but most of them are nouns.
