The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the equivalent Avatar and Russian languages paremias. The study of the language of paremias is of great importance for the comprehension of folk psychology. Identification of the common and the specific in the paremias of languages of different cultures contributes to the further development of the important problem of the international and the national in folklore.
