NEW FIGURATIVE EXPRESSIONS AND SAYINGS IN LEZGHIN LEXICOGRAPHY

This article touches the most expressive and instructive aspects of the language which are contained in proverbs, sayings and riddles. Several examples clearly demonstrate the corrections and additions that were made in the part of paremiology in the process of editing the Lezgi-Russian dictionary. In addition to clarifications and corrections, we have included in the dictionary many hitherto unknown proverbs and sayings, as well as Lezgi riddles. A small list of headwords of the dictionary is presented, in which adequate Russian matches are given to the existing words and sayings.
