TO THE QUESTION OF TRANSONYMIZATION IN LEZGHIN TOPONYMY

The article considers ways of replenishing the toponymical vocabulary of the Lezgin language. Particular attention is paid to the issue of transforming proper names of the Lezghin language by transonymization, derivation and transformation. Natural and artificial ways of transonymization are analyzed. Detected are the onomastic fields from which toponymical units are formed and some features ofl otonymical names in Lezghin toponymy. The research is carried out on the toponymical material collected by the author on the territory of the Akhtyn, Dokuzparin, Kurakh, Magaramkent and Suleiman-Stalsky districts of Republic of Daghestan
