ON THE QUESTION OF TERMINOLOGY AND PRINCIPLES OF MORPHEMIC ANALYSIS IN THE DAGHESTAN LANGUAGES

The article explores the issues of studying the morphemic structure of the Daghestan languages that are relevant for the entire Daghestan studies. The terms and concepts necessary for the metalanguage of the study of nominal and verbal morphemics of the Daghestan languages are defined. The novelty of the research lies in the development of the terminological nomenclature of morphemic analysis and its practical application on the material of the Avar language. The article presents fundamentally different points of view on the qualification of the morpheme of the recognized foreign and domestic linguists. An attempt to explain the matter by the dual nature of the morpheme has been made. As a unit of linguistic analysis, the morpheme is of an abstract nature (methodological aspect), and as a structural unit of the language, the morpheme is of a real nature (ontological aspect).
