In recent years, with a large increase in the number of tourists in the cities and villages of Daghestan, small frictions have begun to appear against the backdrop of the interaction of cultures. Many Daghestanis began to see the influx of tourists as a threat to the preservation of their culture, traditions and national identity. Daghestanis want to see more conscious tourism, a tourist who respects the traditions of the local population. In this connection, the Ministry of Tourism and Folk Arts and Crafts issued a Reminder for tourists. Particular attention in the leaflet is paid to the communication of tourists with local residents, dress-style, rules to follow when visiting religious and cultural sites, when in public transport, food to try, general safety measures, etc.
