AFFIXAL COMPONENTS OF THE VERB AS REPRESENTATIVES OF SPACE IN LANGUAGES OF DIFFERENT TYPOLOGIES (BASED ON GERMAN AND DAGHESTAN LANGUAGES)

The article examines prepositional and postpositional adverbial components of the verb, which represent the semantics of different localization of an object in space relative to a landmark and various motor meanings. The relevance of the study of affixal means of expressing the semantics of space in the Daghestan languages in comparison with the languages of different cultural traditions is explained by the fact that speakers of different cultures perceive the same spatial localization differently. Languages of different typologies use different linguistic means to convey the same spatial semantics, the comparative and typological analysis of which is of significant scientific interest. In this article, we aimed not only at the description of the locative semantics attached to verbs by prepositional and postpositional adverbial components, but also at identification of the general and specific in the languages under study in terms of the expression of spatial semantics by verbal affixes.The main research task is to identify the specifics of the affixal means of the verb, conveying the semantics of the localization and orientation of an object in physical space. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that the results obtained in the article will find application in the practice of teaching the English and German languages in the Daghestan audience, as well as of writing qualifying papers by students. The material of the article will also be used when writing comparative grammars for the Daghestan and Germanic languages.
