Permeability of the lexical system of a language and its exposure to changes enhance the relevance of the research of the Daghestan languages influence on the use of slang in Russian speech of bilingual Daghestan youth. It is one of the unresearched problems in Daghestan linguistics. The aim of the article is to study semantic and derivative peculiarities of modern youth Daghestan slang. The examples under study are authentic, taken from the speech of university students, dialogues and polylogues in the street, transport and other public places. We used methods of linguistic observation, description and elicitation (among university students) to collect and compile the content. The recent study has shown that the slang of bilingual Daghestan youth is a unique mix of Russian expressive vocabulary and one of many Daghestan languages (Avar, Darghin, Kumyk, Lak, Lezghin, Tabasaran) that is free from Russian language norms. The youth slang is constantly transformed, supplied by expressive vocabulary denoting new realia, objects and phenomena. Young people mostly use metaphor and metonymy as a source of their vocabulary extension. A man, his appearance, physical and psychic qualities are in the center of the semantic field of the youth slang. The biggest layer consists of the slang words describing physical and mental abilities of a man.
