The release of the dictionary of the Khvarsha language, which completes the lexicographic description of all the languages of the Tsez subgroup, is a landmark event in Tsez lexicography. The importance and necessity of a dictionary in the modern world is obvious and undeniable, especially for unwritten languages, which are in danger of extinction. Today it must be admited that some languages are already losing their more ancient primordial vocabulary, folklore and other traditions and are on the verge of extinction. Preservation and further development of national culture and historical roots is the most important task, requiring careful attitude to historical and cultural monuments, to traditional folk art. Compiled in accordance with all the lexicographic requirements of modern linguistics, the “Dictionary of the Khvarshin language” opens up good prospects for further research in comparative lexicology and comparative historical study of the Tsez and other Dahgestan, primarily Avar-Ando-Tsez languages. This dictionary is a unique and significant phenomenon in many respects - scientific, historical, cultural, moral and ethical. It will preserve the vocabulary of the unique unwritten Khvarshin language for the domestic and world linguistic science.
