TOPONYMIZED DENDROFLORIC APPELLATIVES OF THE AVAR LANGUAGE

The article describes the toponyms, the basis for which are the appellatives denoting the names of the dendroflora in the area of residence of speakers of the Avar language of Daghestan, reflecting different stages in the ethno-language history of the region. Their ways of reflection and features of functioning in microtoponymy are characterized. The problems of the formation of regional phyto- and zoo-toponymy are of particular interest to onomatology, as they affect the interaction of proper names and appellatives, semantics and functioning of toponyms.
