UDK: The military and post-war period from 1940s to 1950s was challenging for the country, resulting in many deaths, including those caused by high rates of illness. The purpose of this research is to analyze the healthcare system in the Novosibirsk region during the military and post-war periods. The article focuses on the medical supply, morbidity, and mortality rates among children in orphanages from 1940s to 1950s. After analyzing a large amount of documentary and statistical archival data, it can be concluded that the protection of children's lives and health was carried out to the necessary extent, despite the challenging conditions of wartime.
