Modern linguistic analysis is not merely a description of various characteristics of a language system. The world is cognized through the awareness of self and one's activities within it. Language is inherently anthropocentric. The approach to analyzing linguistic units takes into account the role of the human factor in language. The article analyzes the syntactic organization of phraseological units with a somatic component in the Chamali language. The research aim is to identify somatisms as phrase-forming components of phraseological units in an unwritten language. Given that the question of the boundaries and scope of phraseology is complex and lacks a unambiguous solution in linguistics, it is pertinent to note that this article considers stable units of various types: phrasal fusions, phrasal unities, phrasal combinations, proverbs, sayings, as well as beliefs. Studying linguistic phenomena in the field of phraseology is necessary for identifying areas of contact between the Chamali people and other Daghestan peoples, as well as for establishing common features of everyday life, culture, history, and psychology of the peoples. Knowledge of the phraseological composition of a language aids in a deeper understanding of the understand the national way of life and mentality of the people who speak the language.
