COMPONENT “CLOTHING” IN PHRASEOLOGICAL UNITS: CROSS-CULTURAL ANALYSIS OF THE RUSSIAN, ENGLISH, AVAR AND INDONESIAN LANGUAGES

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of phraseological units with the component "Clothing" in Russian, English, Avar, and Indonesian. The research focuses on the multifaceted role of clothing as a cultural sign that integrates utilitarian and symbolic aspects in intercultural communication. The relevance of the study lies in the need to understand the relationship between linguistic structures and cultural aspects reflecting the values and traditions of societies, which contributes to deepening intercultural communication in the modern world. The aim of this research is to identify and compare the cultural meanings and social stereotypes associated with clothing in the languages under study. The objectives of the research include analyzing the semantic structure of phraseological units, examining their cultural significance, and identifying different interpretations of the "Clothing" component across different cultures. The research methods are based on lexicographic analysis, the comparative-contrastive method, and a cultural approach. The results of the study highlight the specificity and diversity of phraseological units, revealing the influence of cultural traditions on the perception of clothing in language. The identified patterns allow for a better understanding of the linguistic reflection of cultural norms and social context, opening up new opportunities for further research in the field of linguoculturology. This study may be useful for linguists, anthropologists, and sociologists interested in the relationship between language and culture.
