INVESTIGATION OF KINETIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LACTATE DEHYDROGENASE IN THE GROUND SQUIRIEL GASTROCNEMIUS MUSCLE DURING HIBERNATION AND IN THE DYNAMICS OF INDUCED WARMING

Concentration dependence of lactate dehydrogenase activity in the ground squiriel gastrocnemius muscle at hibernation and in the dynamics of induced warming was investigated. Hibernation of the ground squiriel is accompanied by decrease in activity of the lactate dehydrogenase, the maximum rate doesn't change, and the Michaelis constant and the constant of substrate inhibition increase. The induced warming of a sleeping squiriel resulted in opposite effects - temperature- dependent increase of the lactate dehydrogenase activity, the maximum rate doesn't change, and the Michaelis constant and the constant of substrate inhibition decrease.
