The emergence of Avar narrative literature was based on the achievements of vernacular verbal (literary) culture, as well as on the experience of Russian classical literature. The article discusses the questions of emergence of the first pieces of Avar belletristic prose, basing on the example of use of the belletristic experience Russian classical literature (such pieces as “Dead Souls” and “Taras Bulba” by N.V. Gogol) by Avar writer R. Dinmagomaev.
