CONTRIBUTION OF RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF URACHI TO THE VICTORY IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR OF 1941–1945

The article examines participation of residents of one of the ancient Daghestan villages Urakhi in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. It shows how many Urakhians went to the front, in which battles they took part, and awards they were given. The selfless work of the Urakhi people in the rear on the collective farm fields, in the construction of defensive structures is noted. It says about extermination battalions that fought against bandits and deserters. Participation of the Urakhians in the partisan movement in the countries of Western Europe is considered.
