MIGRATIONS TO TH E NORTH-EASTERN CAUCASUS IN THE XIX - BEGINNING OF THE XX CENTURIES (CAUSES AND CONSEQUENCES)

ABDULAEVA Madina Izamutdinovna

The article is devoted to the study of migration processes in the North-Eastern Caucasus in the XIX - early ХХ century. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that population migrations are the main factor in the formation of the ethnic appearance of certain territories and, therefore, allow a greater degree of reliability to outline the habitat of various ethnic communities. The paper traces the correlation of elements of spontaneity in migration processes with the purposeful resettlement policy of tsarism, which resulted in the formation of new ethnic communities in the region, which had a positive impact on the socio-economic and cultural development of the North-Eastern Caucasus.
