BIOLOGICAL CYCLE IN STEPPE PHYTOCENOSES OF THE SULAK LOWLAND OF DAGHESTAN

The biological productivity of the natural ecosystems in the western area of the Sulak lowland of Daghestan has been studied. Quantitative characteristics of phytocenoses in the "soil - plant" system have been obtained by the method of A.A. Titlyanova. The natural and anthropogenic dynamics of the production process in the summer period of 2016-2018 has been analyzed. The study of the species composition and total reserves of aboveground phytomass of steppe phytocenoses has been carried out. As a result of observations of the indicators of changes in the composition, structure, and productivity of plant communities on two test sites, the dynamics of vegetation cover has been revealed. In the comparative aspect, topological changes in meadow and chestnut soils, causing changes in phytocenoses, are shown.
