THE NOGAIS IN THE HISTORY OF THE RUSSIAN STATE (XVI - EARLY XX CENT.)

Based on documentary materials and special scientific literature, the article shows the place of the representatives of the Nogai people in the history of the Russian state in the XVI - early XX century, who left historical memory of themselves to their descendants. In addition, it is stated that the centuries-old active historical ties of the Russian Empire with the peoples of the North Caucasus, Crimea and the Lower Volga region created a solid foundation for close friendly, trusting relations that exist today.
