THE MORPHOLOGY OF THE VERB NON-INDICATIVE MOODS IN THE SHANGODA SUB-DIALECT OF THE ANDALAL DIALECT OF THE AVAR LANGUAGE

The article is the first in the Avar studies to examine the morphemes constituting the non-indicative moods of the Avar language verb, based on material from the Shangodin sub-dialect of the Andal dialect in comparison with the Avar literary language. This constitutes the scientific novelty of the work. The relevance of this research is due to the fact that non-indicative moods have remained outside the scope of researchers studying Avar dialects. Sh.I. Mikailov's fundamental monograph "Essays on Avar Dialectology" contains no data on either the morphemics or the semantics of non-indicative moods. Meanwhile, data on verb non-indicative moods in sub-dialects and dialects are of significant interest for creating a historical grammar of the Avar language. The article employs descriptive, structural, and comparative research methods. The results obtained in this article are new and hold scientific and practical significance for Avar dialectology.
